VFI hosts UKILTA in Kilkenny

The United Kingdom and Ireland Licensed Trade Association (UKILTA) recently held its annual meeting in Kilkenny. Hosted by VFI President and local publican Pat Crotty the meeting discussed a wide range of issues including Brexit, rates and minimum unit pricing.

Representatives from Scotland and the north of England said Brexit would impact the trade’s access to labour while Northern Ireland publicans said any change in the common travel area would severely affect their region as the vast majority of tourists to the North enter Ireland via Dublin airport.

As well as discussing common issues of interest to the trade, the group also visited the Smithwicks Experience in Kilkenny.
