Pure Brew & Rory’s Stories Team Up For Christmas Campaign

‘Pure Brew’ launch Christmas campaign along with the help of Rory O’Connor, comedian and social media star behind ‘Rory’s Stories’.

Earlier today, Pure Brew, non-alcoholic lager from the brewers of Guinness, unveiled its  ‘Pure Sound’, festive campaign which celebrates those who decide to stay off the beers for the night in favour of driving their mates home.
The festive season is a time to get together with friends and enjoy great nights out, but people living in rural Ireland can have little or no public transport options while those in towns and cities can often find themselves queuing for taxis in frosty temperatures or waiting for the last bus in the rain.

Thankfully, people all over Ireland have a ‘Pure Sound’ mate who goes above and beyond by volunteering to stay off the beer and instead undertaking the role of the unofficial taxi for the night.

The campaign centres on a partnership with Rory O’Connor, the man behind ‘Rory’s Stories’ who rose to social media fame with his tongue-in-cheek comedy sketches depicting aspects of Irish life. The campaign will feature two very relatable Rory’s Stories videos which centres around the pure sound mate (AKA Rory) and his groups of friends as they enjoy a Christmas and New Year’s Eve night out.

Speaking at the launch, Rory O’Connor said: “We all have the ‘Pure Sound’ buddy that we’re all thankful for, especially at this busy time of the year. I also feel passionately about the importance of reminding people to never ever drink and drive, so the messages in the campaign cannot be over-stated”.

Padraig Cribben, CEO, VFI commented: “The ‘Pure Sound’ campaign by Pure Brew is very timely in the run up to the Christmas period as the designated driver is that person that helps bring people together on their social nights out. It’s great to see that it’s a growing phenomenon among young people who are happy to choose some non-alcoholic alternatives and still enjoy a great night out.”

The Pure Sound New Year’s Eve video will go live on 28th December and there will be further videos coming out in early 2019.
