Listowel VFI members revisit Revival

Kerry, and north Kerry in particular, have a very proud tradition music, song and craic and it is fitting that this is to continue with the Revival Music Festival again this year in Listowel on Saturday 12th August 2017.

Eight publicans, Aiden O’Connor, Sean Broderick, Jerry Behan, Mike Brosnan, Christy Walsh, Terry Dunne, Gordon Flannery and Liam Canty came together last year and developed the idea of bringing outdoor live music to Listowel. In conjunction with Kerry County Council and the Gardai, The Square was  transformed into an open area arena. Over 1500 people attended in 2016 with music from The Riptide Movement, The Stunning, plus Frank & Walters festival goers had a truly memorable experience.

Tickets this year are priced at € 29.50 and are available through Ticketmaster (Click Here) or in Listowel from any of the eight publicans. In conjunction with sponsors Heineken their will be a full bar within the arena so this event is strictly for over 18’s, with security staff in attendance. In addition there will be gourmet food outlets providing a variety of fair within the arena itself.

The gates will open at 5.00pm and the concert will run from 7.00pm to 11.00pm. Publican Aiden O’Connor said;

“This is another fantastic event for the town and we would like to thank the residents of The Square for their support and cooperation as well as the elected members of Listowel Municipal District for their assistance through the Community Support Fund. There is a real buzz around North Kerry as the event nears and I would ask people to check out the Revival Festival Facebook page for further details.”

The publicans are hoping that this will be an annual event and any profits from this year will be used to make next year’s festival bigger and better.
