The VFI Forum 2025 took place in Le Cabaret, Rearden’s, Cork City on Wednesday, 8th October, bringing together publicans from across Ireland for an afternoon of insight, discussion and networking.

Hosted by Shane Coleman, the event featured an engaging mix of panels and guest speakers, including a post-Budget discussion with VFI CEO Pat Crotty, a session on future trends for Irish pubs, and practical talks on succession planning and running family businesses.

Publicans Corrina Gough, Conor O’Neill and Michael Dowling shared their experiences as part of a lively panel discussion that captured the realities of life behind the bar and the importance of planning for the next generation.

The Forum provided members with a valuable opportunity to connect, exchange ideas and reflect on the challenges and opportunities ahead for the trade.
