Everything you need to know about the business of pub food

New dates have been announced for ‘The Business of Pub Food’ courses run by Blathnaid Bergin in conjunction with the VFI.

The courses have run for a number of years and have received excellent feedback from VFI members who participated.

The Business of Pub Food – New to the Food Business will commence on February 5th and run for seven days over the following three months. It’s perfect for publicans thinking of adding food to the business and need to gain a clear understanding of what is involved.

This course now includes a demonstration of a simple menu with highest quality ingredients with Rory O’Connell of The Ballymaloe Cookery School and RTE.

Course fees: There is a 25% Skillnet funding available for eligible employees or self-employed network members that are residents within the Republic of Ireland. Along with a €100 reduction for VFI members the total fee is €1,062.

 

A second course: The Business of Pub Food – Already Serving Food will commence on March 27th and continue for seven days through to the end of May. According to Blathnaid Bergin this course will suit publicans who need to analyse your current food operation with a forensic eye. The course will also teach you to set up systems across Kitchen Operations, Front of House Operations, Service Skills and learn how to serve best quality consistently while improving bottom line profits.

This course also includes a full day’s cookery demonstration with Rory O’Connell from The Ballymaloe Cookery School.
