Clubber TV launches first-of-its-kind commercial package for VFI member pubs

The Vintners’ Federation of Ireland (VFI) and Clubber TV have today announced a new collaboration that will give VFI member pubs access to a special discount on Clubber TV’s new commercial package, creating a fresh opportunity for pubs to show live sport and bring customers together around the games that matter most in their communities.

The new arrangement marks a first-of-its-kind commercial package from Clubber TV for VFI member pubs, designed to help publicans enhance their live sport offering while responding to the pressure of rising operating costs. Clubber TV has positioned itself as a major streaming platform for GAA in Ireland, with live and on-demand coverage that reaches dedicated audiences at home and abroad.

For many pubs, particularly in rural Ireland, sport remains a powerful driver of footfall, atmosphere and community connection. The collaboration reflects the shared role that pubs and the GAA play at the centre of local life, with both serving as important gathering points in towns and villages across the country.

Pat Crotty, CEO of The Vintners’ Federation of Ireland, said:

“This new collaboration with Clubber TV is another practical way the VFI is helping to support member pubs at a time when costs continue to rise. Publicans are facing sustained pressure from increased overheads, and initiatives like this are about creating real value for our members while helping them strengthen their offering for customers.

“Pubs are community hubs in towns and villages right across Ireland, particularly in rural areas. In many of those places, the pub and the GAA club sit at the heart of local life. This partnership recognises that connection and gives publicans another way to bring people together around the matches and moments that matter in their communities.”

Lar Doyle, Chief Operations Officer at Clubber TV, said:

“Clubber TV has grown by focusing on sports and competitions that matter deeply to local communities, especially those that have historically been under-served by traditional broadcasters. We are delighted to work with the VFI on a package tailored specifically for member pubs, helping them access Clubber TV in a way that supports both their business and their customers’ viewing experience.

“Our coverage continues to expand across Ireland and beyond, and that growth reflects the appetite that exists for high-quality access to local sport. Working with pubs, which are such an important part of community life, is a natural next step for us.”

Clubber TV has become a leading streaming platform for GAA in Ireland and says its model is built around bringing live and on-demand coverage of under-served competitions to passionate fanbases. The service has also expanded into the UK market and into additional sports rights, reflecting its broader growth ambitions.

The VFI represents over 3,000 publicans across Ireland and works to promote and protect the interests of publicans nationwide. This latest member benefit is part of the organisation’s ongoing focus on helping pubs navigate commercial pressures while continuing to serve as essential social and economic anchors in local communities.

Further details on the Clubber TV commercial package and the exclusive VFI member discount will be made available directly to VFI members.
